FREE VIRTUAL TAX PREPARATION by IRS Certified VITA Volunteer Preparers You’re eligible if you earned $65,000 or less in 2023.

WHAT IS VIRTUAL TAX PREPARATION?

The tax preparer isn't on location. The tax information is transferred through a secure website to the preparation site. Then the certified tax preparer interviews you and prepares the return remotely.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED A Photo ID for you and your spouse. If filing a joint return, both must present W-2s for all jobs held and all 1099 forms Form 1098-T if self-employed (paid in cash or personal checks) You must know total earnings for 2023.

Social Security cards, ITIN (or copies) for you and anyone you are claiming on your tax return A sample check or a bank letter with the routing and account number for Direct Deposit.

EXPENSES: CHILD CARE: If claiming childcare expenses, bring amount paid and childcare agency's ID, or name & Social Security number of childcare providers. HEALTH CARE: If you purchased health insurance through the marketplace and applied for the premium tax credit, bring form 1095-A to claim Health Care expenses. EDUCATION EXPENSES: Bring forms 1098-E, Student loan info, receipts, etc. If you are a victim of identity theft, bring your IPPIN (Individual Protection-Personal Identification Number) assigned by the IRS.
